Today, we had the honor of recognizing two extraordinary Alliance City Schools teachers who continuously go above and beyond to support their students! ✈ ❤ Julie Hale is the 2025 ACS Teacher of the Year! Mrs. Hale is a 3rd grade Teacher at Alliance Elementary School. She has spent many years as a dedicated, kind and compassionate teacher who has made a positive impact on every student she has had the opportunity to teach! 🩵 Bailey Balderson is the 2025 ACS Rookie Teacher of the Year! Miss Balderson is a first year kindergarten teacher at Alliance Early Learning School. She may be a new teacher, but her kindness and unwavering confidence in her students has made her a fantastic edition to the Aviator team! Please join us in congratulating these two very deserving teachers! 👏👏 #RepthatA

Addie Bender's and Trisha Bartel's 2nd graders at Alliance Elementary School completed their Animal Research Projects! 🐶🐻🦁 Students had to gather resources and conduct research then fill out a graphic organizer and complete a rough draft of their project. The students practiced their editing and revision skills before completing their final project on special stationary. The students also had the chance to learn how to draw their animal, make a Google Slides presentation and present their project to their classmates. It was a lot of work for our 2nd grade friends, but they did amazing and deserve a round of applause! Way to be awesome, Aviators! ✈ #RepthatA

Students in Alissa Batdorff's class at Alliance Elementary School have been working hard to complete their very own "Who Would Win?" book 🤔 through a research project. They got their inspiration from Jerry Pallotta’s "Who Would Win?" books where he takes two animals, compares facts about them, then tells who would win in a battle between the two animals based on the facts. 🐶🐱 Students in my class got to pick their own two animals, research facts about their speed, size, habitat, hunting style, diet and extra fun facts. Then, they come up with a story about a battle between the two animals. They used their facts to determine who would win in the end! 🏆 #RepthatA

The students in Mrs. Muller's and Miss Moore's 2nd grade class have been learning about Martin Luther King, Jr! Just like Dr. King, the students came up with some big dreams of their own that would make our country an even better place. 💭 Here are just a few of the special dreams the students have! #RepthatA

Throughout the school year, Addie Bender and Trisha Bartel's class at Alliance Elementary School has had Mystery Readers come to their classroom. 📖 The students are given five clues as to who it may be. After a knock on their classroom door, it is revealed. Recently, Dr. Bob Woodward (father of one of the students in the class) from the University of Mount Union came to read "Pete the Cat Screams For Ice Cream." After he was done with the story, Dr. Woodward and his research student, Alaina Metzler demonstrated how to make liquid nitrogen ice cream! It was so exciting and delicious! Each student got to have two servings of vanilla ice cream with toppings. 😋🍨 Thank you from stopping by AES, Dr. Woodward! #RepthatA
