Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
\r\nFirst grade students spent a lot of time this month learning about Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. They read stories, watched videos and created a timeline of some of the important events in Dr. King's life. Students learned that all of the wonderful accomplishments achieved by Dr. King began with a dream -- a dream of peace and equality for everyone. The students wrote their own dreams for how to make the world a better place, and it's clear that the future is in good hands.
\r\nStudent of the Month Dinner
\r\nRockhill and Parkway Elementaries celebrated their first semester Students of the Month last week at a dinner. Families enjoyed dinner, a slideshow and students received certificates and medals in recognition of their great character. Way to go kiddos. Keep leading by example and following “The Golden Rule.”
