October is Principal Appreciation Month! In celebration, we are sharing "getting to know you" posts that will include fun facts about each of our wonderful principals.
First up is Holly Power the principal at Alliance Early Learning School!
Mrs. Power's fun facts include:
1. I love to cook, and almost went to culinary school instead of going into education.
2. I danced for 17 years and did the basics like ballet, but also practiced Irish Step Dancing and Ballroom dancing.
3. I was born in Florida, but HATE the heat.
4. I was named Holly because my birthday is a week before Christmas.
5. I only drink tea if it is hot, or coffee if it is iced!

Adam DeMonte is the assistant principal at Alliance Early Learning School!
Mr. DeMonte's fun facts include:
1. Growing up at my house we raised chickens, ducks, ponies, and turkeys.
2. I met my wife in high school.
3. I've never broken a bone.
4. My favorite holiday is Halloween.
5. My favorite car is an El Camino.

First grade students at AELS started the school year with a focus on character building and getting along together. Kate Harris' class wrote their own version of the book "It's OK to Feel" by Zachary Gibson and sent a copy to the author. Awesome job, first graders! #RepthatA

Tracy Bowser's kindergarten class started with hello this morning by visiting the office staff! They practiced using the staff members' names, introduced themselves and asked questions.
