After the success of the inaugural Alliance City Schools Fine Art Showcase in 2023, the district is proud to offer the event for the second year. The showcase will begin with a district-wide visual art show and reception on Monday, April 29 followed by performing arts events through Thursday, May 9.
“Last year's inaugural Fine Arts Showcase was an amazing event and I can't wait to see what this year brings,” said Shawn Jackson, Director of Secondary Education. “We have so many talented students, both in the visual and performing arts, so it's great we set aside a week to show off their talents.”
Alliance City Schools creates a culture of supporting and promoting Academic, Athletics and the Arts. This ten-day long showcase offers families and community members the chance to see all the hard work, dedication and artistic talent of the ACS students.
“Our district is so lucky to be full of some of the most talented, passionate and creative students in the area, and these young artists and musicians are excited to show off all their hard work from this school year,” said Bianca Burwell, head of the art department at ACS. “This showcase is the perfect opportunity for our families and community to see our students in action, shining in their artistic element. We hope to see as many people as possible stopping out to support both our students and our art programs. I promise you will not be disappointed.”
Events like the annual showcase are what help to provide students with a well-rounded education and to receive top awards in the art and music education realm. For the fourth year, the Alliance City Schools Music Department was named a Best Community For Music Education by the National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) Foundation.
The showcase events are free and open to the public unless otherwise noted.
